Especially with active kids, we need to engage bodies in order to fully engage minds!
When it comes to learning, we need to look for ways our children can actively engage in the learning process. Active learning is ALWAYS more powerful than passive learning. The more they get up and utilize purposeful movement when interacting with material they have encountered, the deeper the connections go.
I hopped on to Facebook Live today to share about one of my favorite go-to resources for making learning active – DRAMATIZATION!
When we couple movement with the power of the imagination, learning is solidified. As I shared about in this video, we can dramatize just about anything and I’ve seen the fruit with preschoolers all the way up to college students that I’ve tutored when I taught a Human Anatomy and Physiology lab at the university.
Take a listen as I unpack what this can look like and why it’s so powerful. And then keep asking yourself the following question as you are learning with your children,
HOW can we dramatize this?”
